All Catholics 14 years of age and older are to abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and on all Fridays of Lent. All Catholics who are 18 years of age and older but not yet 59 years old are to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Fasting is eating only one full meal with the two smaller meals if necessary. No eating between meals is allowed unless it is medically necessary.
Lent might be a good time to return to church. Our journey of conversion serves as a reminder to all of us that God's work of redemption and salvation continues in our midst. This community now sends you forth to reflect on the word of God.
Ash Wednesday Notes
Because of COVID protocols, ashes will be sprinkled on your head this year instead of marking your forehead.
