In November 2023 through November 2024, we enjoyed a year-long celebration of the St. Charles Borromeo demisemiseptcentennial — more commonly known as our 175th anniversary. We have a truly rich history to share and remember during this important milestone!
Founded in 1848 by Reverend Charles White, St. Charles has remained a thriving, enthusiastic and diverse parish. Did you know that the altar we use today was installed in 1888, and that this "new" church we celebrate Mass in today was built around it in 1898? Our parishioners have hailed from Pikesville and the surrounding area throughout our existence, but for some time they also came from as far as the state line and many other countries.
We had an amazing, inclusive calendar of events to celebrate the anniversary of our beautiful parish community. We were glad that you participated with us throughout the year in this perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow parishioners, to worship, and to rejoice in our shared history!
